About Me

As a parent, you want your child to feel confident, supported, and capable of achieving their very best. My role as a tutor is to provide exactly that.

In addition to being a parent myself; I am an experienced teacher, tutor and Head of Department; with over 10 years of classroom, tutoring and examination experience. I have worked extensively with the major UK exam boards Edexcel, AQA and OCR; giving me a clear understanding of curriculum expectations, assessment criteria, and how to prepare students effectively for GCSE and A Level examinations.

One of my key strengths is my ability to respond carefully and thoughtfully to the individual needs of each pupil. Every child learns differently. Some require reassurance and confidence-building; others benefit from stretch and challenge. Some need structured support to secure foundational knowledge, while others are preparing for competitive university applications. I adapt my teaching approach accordingly, ensuring sessions are purposeful, supportive, and tailored.

Over the years, I have supported students of all abilities and learning needs, helping them to make significant academic progress. A number of my students have gone on to secure places at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities, to study Economics (and other desired fields); from a diverse range of backgrounds.
